Are business cards still in use?

Yes, business cards are still appreciated today. Only the contents of these cards have changed in past years: In place of a fax number, like earlier, you put your company URL today and where applicable a QR code with the information of the personal contact person. In addition, relevant information like name, company name, the position in the company, telephone and mobile phone number, as well as company address are of course still part of the contact details.

What types of business cards are available?

You can choose from a wide range of models for your business card print:

What information should my business card contain?

What can’t be missing? Your full name – of course. In addition, your position in the company, the name and logo of your company and your contact details (telephone and mobile phone number, email and website address). Profiles in social networks are often also mentioned. QR codes offer a quick way to connect digitally as well. The landing page can contain more information about you and your company and special offers or premium services for your customers. As a further binding element, a writable area for entering the next customer appointment can be included in the design.

What is the ideal business card size and what paper should I choose?

Of course the one optimal business card size does not exist – but depending on the requirements of your name cards, there are at least suggested sizes. Classic, professional business cards are for example always in landscape format 8.5 x 5.5 cm. Folded business cards offer you plenty of space. And your custom name 

cards will definitely stand out, for example as a square. The same goes for papers: You can’t go wrong with the classic 300 gsm silk paper or offset paper. With recycled or natural paper you can position yourself as an environmentally friendly company, while shimmery pearlescent cards show your stylishness.

What data files do you accept for designs?

We require your print files in JPG, PDF or TIFF formats. For specific products and finishes only PDF files will work. You can find more information about the data files you can use in the data sheet of your chosen product.

What quality checks are done during the print process?

After the data upload your print files are checked for free with the basic file check. Should there appear any errors and should the print files not be printable, you will have the option to correct the files and upload them again. After the files have been correctly uploaded, they will automatically be approved and go into print.

How high should the print file resolution be?

For products which come in sizes smaller than A2, we recommend a resolution of 300 to 356 ppi, for sizes from A2 and larger we recommend 100 to 150 ppi. For large-format print products, like outdoor advertising, 95 ppi are enough. Information on specific resolutions can be found in the data sheet for the respective product.

How long does it take for the business cards to be printed and delivered?

The delivery time is 3-4 working days on average (standard order). The delivery period begins one day after receipt of a viable print file or print approval before the data acceptance deadline and complete payment for the goods. Delivery times, however, depend on various production conditions. In exceptional cases, delivery times may be delayed.
